This course is intended for players wanting to improve their standard.
Designed to improve individual performance, fitness and technical ability, this is a great addition to the training provided by team coaches.
Although the course is run in true WFA style with the emphasis on fun, the players will work on specific areas of their game which will improve their individual game, resulting in better team performance. Defenders will work on techniques such as positioning, strikers will work on how to “work” a defender and create space for themselves, midfielders will work separately on the importance of supporting the front men as well as tracking back and understanding what is expected of them in their role. Occasionally we have the strikers working as defenders so that they understand what a defender is thinking and vice versa.
We work on fitness and balance too, developing skills designed to improve fitness, strength and core stability. These are important areas of an individual’s game which are rarely worked on in “normal” training.
