Girls’ Football at WFA
In the summer of 2022, following the Lionesses’ historic UEFA Women’s EURO victory, something incredible happened at WFA.
One week, our holiday camp was almost entirely boys, with just one girl attending. The very next morning after the Lionesses lifted the trophy, inspired girls arrived in huge numbers — and girls’ football at WFA has never looked back.
Today, girls’ football is thriving, and WFA is proud to be leading the way in Wilmslow.
We now have 6 girls’ teams competing in the Cheshire Girls League, providing opportunities for players of all abilities to develop, compete, and most importantly — enjoy football in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment.
Whether your daughter is trying football for the first time or looking to take her game to the next level, our coaching sessions are the perfect place to start.
