WFA are Recruiting Players for our Girls Teams!

We are proud of how our girls teams have taken off. We have u10, 12’s and 14’s playing the Cheshire Girls Leagues.

If you’d like to come and train then please ring Erik on 07792 791382 or check out our girls teams page here on the website.

We are moving to a new home!

We are moving to a new home on December 15th at Wilmslow Hockey Club on Styal Road, just past Styal Prison.

Our current home at Ashdene is undertaking the development of a running track around the perimeter of the school field which will reduce the size of the playing area considerably. So, after careful consideration we have decided to relocate our Saturday morning football to the magnificent grass playing surface at Wilmslow Hockey Club on Styal Road adjacent to the entrance at Styal Mill.

WFA’s Child Welfare Policy

All WFA coaches are CRB checked every 3 years by our Welfare Officer. The law requires all coaches over the age of 16 working with children to be CRB checked which we stringently comply to. We make every effort possible to make our sessions as safe as possible including a 1 coach to 10 pupil ratio at every session which is above the recommended requirement.

WFA coaches are all first aid and AED trained.

Our Saturday morning and evening sessions even have at least one coach present “front of house” to answer questions, check and monitor child safety and ensure that WFA rules and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Parents should thoroughly check out any coaching organisation before leaving their child with them. The simplest way is to check with the head coach to establish that all coaches are CRB checked and ask for verbal references from other parents who regularly attend the sessions.

Out head coach Erik Garner is always on hand to answer any questions you may have.
