Little Strikers - coaching sessions for pre-school children aged from 2 to 5

Little Strikers is WFA's football coaching sessions for pre-school children aged from 2 to 5. Little Strikers was introduced in response to frequent enquiries from parents about sessions for this age group.

On the Continent and in the States, pre-school football coaching is as popular as any other pre-school activity. You only have to look at the mini pitch at Ashdene on a Saturday morning to see how many pre-schoolers enjoy joining in with their big brothers and sisters.

From the age of 2 or 3 most children are kicking a ball around the house or garden, I know because my son was doing the same as soon as he could walk. I have a fine collection of broken vases to prove it! Until now though there have been few if any credible facilities available to take the pre-schoolers to learn and play football.

Little Strikers operates sessions in Wilmslow and Bramhall.

• Mondays 10.00 - 11.00 Parish Hall (The Carrs Car Park), Cliff Road SK9 4AA
• Thursdays 1.30 - 2.30 Parish Hall (The Carrs Car Park), Cliff Road SK9 4AA
• Saturdays 10.00 - 12.00 Ashdene Primary School, Thoresway Road SK9 6LJ (outdoors on grass)

• Tuesdays 1.30 - 2.30 Brookdale Theatre, Bridge Lane SK7 3AB
• Thursdays 9.30 - 10.30 Brookdale Theatre, Bridge Lane SK7 3AB

The cost per session is £5.00 payable as and when you attend Little Strikers and children should wear kit suitable to play indoors. It is advisable to bring along a water based drink and a snack for your budding Beckham but there will be free tea and coffee for carers, mums and dads.

Children attending Little Strikers will enjoy:

• Football development for pre-school boys and girls from 2 to 5 years old
• Coaching designed to be fun, exciting and stimulating by fully qualified and CRB checked coaches
• Develop football skill and fitness through a series of fun but beneficial games which help develop concentration, balance and coordination
• Make new friends
